Tomorrow, June 17, OSBCU-CUPE takes the next step in central bargaining with the provincial government.
This first stage is about setting the table. That means getting the process started, setting dates, establishing ground rules, and beginning the work on the issues that matter to CUPE education workers across Ontario.
This is not a strike notice.
This is the start of bargaining.
We will keep members informed as the process moves forward, and we ask everyone to stay informed, stay connected, and stand together.

On April 28, we recognize the National Day of Mourning — a day to remember workers who have been killed, injured, or made ill due to workplace hazards.
This day is not only about remembrance, but also about recommitting ourselves to the ongoing fight for safer workplaces.

Leaders from Windsor-Essex teachers unions came together to collaborate, share insights, and align on key priorities for upcoming bargaining. In a time when education faces growing challenges, this collective effort reflects a shared commitment to advocating for students, supporting educators, and strengthening our schools.
By working in unity, we amplify our voices and ensure that the needs of our classrooms and communities remain front and centre.
