We will be gathering on March 23 at Baroness Caitlin's keep. The plan is for A&S as well as fixing Armour and planning what's happening over the summer
Good morning, this Sundays monthly meeting will include a presentation from the SCA Canada Working group. ( Jen Zuderveen, and I believe some of our friends from over the pond).) This is a repeat of the Meet and Greet from ValDay as we have so many members who did not cross the border.
Come join us from 1pm-4pm at the Barbershop Bar 2587 Howard. Bar will be open and serving alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Food is not being sold - you may bring snacks but please purchase beverages from the bar. Bring out a project or just come to hang out. We are planning on recording it so that we can share to those that have not seen it

My 'Introduction to Prehistoric Textiles' online class is now available for sign ups on its new, permanent home! Link in the first comment.
Drawing on (largely) European sources, we will trace the archaeological evidence for, and development of tools and techniques from the Palaeolithic through the Mesolithic, Neolithic and into the Bronze Age, making simple equipment and trying a wide range of techniques as we go to gain a better understanding of what people wore and how the textiles we have today come into first use.
8 pre-recorded video lessons to watch and rewatch at your own pace over a 365 day access period.
Subtitles, for extra accessibility.
Downloadable overview of each lesson with further reading and outlines of the projects to keep.
Online forum for participants to talk more widely and share progress and projects.
All with me, Sally Pointer - Heritage Education drawing on my ongoing research into textiles and crafting through time.
Materials are generally straightforward to get, and substitutions are suggested. You should be able to do this anywhere in the world.
My 'Stinging Nettle: Fibre, Cordage and Crafts' class is also available on the same host.
I look forward to having you join me!
Please feel free to share this post. Thank you.

Please note we have had to change the date of January's meeting to February 15th 2026. The bar double booked with a paying event (as they let us use the space for free, we can't interfere with them making money). There will now be no formal meeting in January.
