When you join Delta Zeta, you make a promise.
You promise that you will crusade for justice. You promise that you will seek the truth and defend it β always. That promise doesn't end after four years. It is a promise you make for life.
As the stories unravel from this past weekend and every other day in history where BIPOC have feared for their lives, we can't help but feel our hearts break for George Floyd and his family, Regis Korchinski-Paquet and her family and every single other innocent Black human who has lost their lives.
But being sad isn't enough.
There is either racist or anti-racist, no in between.
If you choose the side of anti-racism, that means you're making a decision to stand up, speak up and fight. Educate, donate and have hard conversations.
As Delta Zeta's we made a decision to stand up, speak up and fight and we stand by that decision.
To our black sisters, to BIPOC, to the communities that have faced oppression: we see you, we hear you, we are mourning with you and we will CRUSADE with you.
