The piano studio of Mrs. Tetyana Zhelnakova recently celebrated an afternoon of exceptional music during their annual student piano recital. 🎼

Joy in playing the piano is found where passion and discipline meet. Students beautifully demonstrated both, filling the room with elegance, expression, and inspiring melodies.

Senior level students studying under Dr. Thomas Green received the following awards at the Chatham Kiwanis Music Festival:

✨Jenica Su (Level 8): 3 First Places, 4 Second Places—Received the Ridgetown Kiwanis Club Award at the Grand Concert

✨Jayden Su (Level 10): 1 First Place, 3 Second Places, 1 Third Place—received the Windsor Essex ORMTA Award at the Grand Concert

✨Michael Sanda (Level 9): 3 First Places, 2 Second Places, 1 Third Place—received three special awards at the Grand Concert

✨Albert Zhou (Level 10): 4 First Places, 1 Second Place—performed at the Grand Concert, received four special trophies and awards

✨Linhan Xue is now preparing for his ARCT exam, and received the Ron Kingham Memorial Award and the Silver Tray, the top award for pianists at the Chatham Kiwanis Music Festival.

We are so proud of Académie Ste Cécile International School students Didi P. and Jayden C. who were top award recipients at this year's music festivals.

🥈Jayden who studies piano with Mrs. Elena Bogach, won 2nd place at the OMFA Provincial Finals. It was his first year entering the competition!

🏆Didi won the Académie Ste-Cécile trophy for 2nd Place Junior Pianist at the Windsor-Essex Kiwanis Music Festival.

We don't want to brag, but our students did so well at Kiwanis Music Festival we must share the news and celebrate with them!🎉🎵

Dierdra P. is a level 3 student performed with poise and confidence earning her a 1st and 2nd place and 3x 3rd place awards. 🎹

Level 10 student, Albert Z. participated in two Kiwanis Music Festivals earning 4x 1st places and a 2nd place award in Chatham and 2x 1st places, 4x 2nd places and a 3rd place award in Windsor. 🥇

He will be performing at the final concert in Chatham and will be at the OMFA Provincial competition in June.

This is a testament to the meaning that hard work pays off! 💪

Several students received special recognition for their performances. Your passion for music shines through—job well done! 🏆👏

Melody M. received 2nd place in the strings-general class.

For his first time participating, level 1 student, Jayden C., received 1st place x2, 2nd place, 3rd place.

Piano level 7 student, Aariz A., received 1st place, 2nd place twice, a 3rd place award and qualified for the Ontario Provincials.

Aleeza A. received 2nd place twice and two 3rd place certificates for level 6 piano.

Level 6 student, Ashley L., received 1st place, 2nd place and three 3rd place awards. She was invited to the Provincial Live Finals.

Sahasra M. is in level 4 and entered the festival for her first time this year going home with two 3rd place certificates.
