Come explore, learn, play, and grow with us at Woodland Children’s Centre! 🍂🦋

Our Little Learners program is designed for children ages 3–5 years, offering a fun, nurturing, nature-based environment where children can build confidence, independence, friendships, and important school-readiness skills.

As another incredible summer comes to a close, I want to say thank you to all of our amazing families for making this Summer Program so special. 🌿💚
From nature adventures and outdoor exploration to crafts, laughter, new friendships, and unforgettable memories, it has been a joy watching each child learn, grow, and thrive.
Thank you for trusting Woodland Children’s Centre to be part of your child’s summer. Your support means the world, and I truly appreciate every smile, hug, and happy moment we shared together.

Our Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning program is designed especially for 3 and 4-year-olds, blending school readiness with outdoor adventures, play-based learning, and hands-on nature experiences.

🌲🐿️ Meet Munchie – Our Woodland Children’s Centre Mascot! 🐿️🌲
If you’ve spent any time at WLCC, chances are you’ve met our furry little friend, Munchie! ❤️
Munchie can be found waiting for her WLCC friends each day, racing through the woods, munching on her favourite sunflower seeds, and keeping a close eye on everything happening around the forest. 🌻🌲
Some fun facts about Munchie:
🐿️ Loves sunflower seeds
🏡 Built her home under a wood pile
👶 Has babies of her own
🌲 Loves running through the woods
✨ Has a shortened tail that makes her extra special
🙈 Isn’t a fan of chipmunks
❤️ Has officially become our beloved WLCC mascot
The children love watching Munchie explore, gather snacks, and scamper through our outdoor classroom. She reminds us every day of the wonder, curiosity, and connection to nature that make Woodland Children’s Centre so special.

🐝🌼 We spent time quietly observing the bees and learning about the important work they do in nature. The children loved watching them move from flower to flower collecting pollen!
Our favourite part was spotting the bees covered in tiny bits of pollen — we called them “pollen pants” 🐝✨💛 The children thought it was so funny and fascinating to see their fuzzy little legs packed full as they buzzed around the garden.
Moments like these help us slow down, notice the little things, and build a deeper connection with the natural world 🌿🍃

🐞🪲 Our little explorers at Woodland Children’s Centre have been discovering SO many bugs lately! From potato bugs and worms to buzzing bees and tiny insects hiding under logs 🌿🔍🐝
What started as our bee project has naturally shifted into a wonderful new project all about insects! 💚 The children have been asking questions, observing habitats, searching carefully through nature, and learning just how important these tiny creatures are to our world 🌎✨

The children have loved observing bees in our woodland play spaces — watching them fly from flower to flower, learning about pollination, and discovering just how important bees are to our world. 🌼🔍
At Woodland Children’s Centre, we believe outdoor learning helps children build curiosity, kindness, respect, and connection with nature every single day. 🌲🤎

🌧️💦 Rainy days at Woodland Children’s Centre are some of our favourite days! 💦🌧️
This week the children embraced the rainy weather with muddy boots, big smiles, and lots of puddle splashing! From jumping in puddles to listening to the sound of the rain in the woods, every moment became an opportunity for adventure, laughter, and learning. 🌿☔
Outdoor play in all kinds of weather helps children build confidence, resilience, creativity, and a deeper connection with nature. There is nothing quite like the joy of muddy puddles, fresh air, and carefree play with friends. 💚
At Woodland Children’s Centre, we believe some of the best childhood memories are made in the rain. 🌲✨

The children at Woodland Children’s Centre have been buzzing with excitement lately. It’s time to discover just how fascinating bees can be! 🐝🌿

Through hands-on exploration and outdoor discovery, and new explorations stations the children will develop a deeper appreciation for the small creatures that make such a big impact in our world. Watching their wonder and respect for nature grow is one of the most meaningful parts of our days at WLCC. 🌼🍃
