📖 We are ONLY accepting children’s books.

Then come by on Saturday, September 5th from 10 AM–2 PM to browse, choose some new-to-you books and give them a second home. 🥰

What a fantastic last day of school here at Marie Sharpe!

Today, we celebrated our Grade 6 Leaving Ceremony! Over the last few months, our Grade 6 students designed and helped create their own ribbon shirts or skirts, and this morning they proudly wore their finished creations. They all looked fabulous! Here are photos of some of our Grade 6 graduates and a few of our major award winners.

We also hosted our annual Last Day Powwow, celebrating the learning, relationships, and cultural experiences that have been woven throughout the school year. A huge thank you to WLFN for joining us to drum and dance, and for continuing to share their knowledge, traditions, and culture with our students. Our Grade 6 students even had the opportunity to use the drums they made this year as part of the drumming, making the celebration even more meaningful. It was wonderful to see our entire school come together in song and dance, honouring local Indigenous culture and celebrating alongside one another. We are grateful for the relationships and learning that help make experiences like today possible.

Mrs. Fichtner's class had a cereal party today! She got alllll the good ones!

Then they pranked Ms. Campsall by asking her to come upstairs to help with something and trying the "when admin walks in during the last week of school" trend.

Marie Sharpe Fun Day 2026!

Bouncy castle with axe throwing, bouncy obstacle course, parachute, bubbles, chalk, popcorn, temporary tattoos, taco in a bag, escape room, just dance, tug of war, AND being soaked by the fire truck. What an action packed and fantastic FUN DAY!

Thanks to Mrs. McKinnon for organizing everything and THANK YOU to Marie Sharpe PAC for running tattoos and for providing Taco in a Bag for every student and adult and for serving it to everyone!

Thank you so much to the Williams Lake Fire Department. The students talk about this and are excited for it all year!

Tomorrow is Fun Day at MSE! Students have been put into coloured teams and will rotate through fun stations in the morning. In the afternoon there will be some games and fun in the water from a fire truck! Please dress for the weather, bring a change of clothes & a towel and let’s have a great time!

Welcome to Kindergarten went off without a hitch this week! Thank you to all the soon to be Kindergarten students and their parents/caregivers for coming and meeting us all!
