Our next Prenatal Class at the Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre brings the information into one practical day, with opportunities to learn, ask questions, and feel more prepared for birth and those first days with your baby.
Topics include:
• Birth and newborn care basics
• Comfort, recovery and adjustment
• Practical information and support
• Time for questions and connection

Two programs, two different ways to enjoy some time together at the CDC this week.
For families with children ages 0–6, Early Years is back Tuesday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 26 from 10:30–11:30 AM. We’re nearing the end of our August Under the Sea theme, with ocean-inspired sensory experiences, movement, crafts, songs, and imaginative play to explore together.
Later Tuesday, Mom’s Connection offers moms and babies ages 0–1 a change of pace from 1:30–3:30 PM. Come spend the afternoon with your baby, enjoy some conversation, and meet other moms in a relaxed setting.

Drop in this morning for a relaxed time of play and exploration with your little one as we continue our August Water theme.

The fun is popping up at the Williams Lake Library today!
The Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre and Foundry Cariboo Chilcotin will be there from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM, and everyone is invited to stop by and join in.
Today’s activities include:

• Temporary tattoos
• Button making
• Colouring
• Games
• Bubbles
And there’s another reason to come by — the The Neighbourhood Ice Cream Shoppe truck will also be onsite today!

Mothering the Mother: Wild Tea Walk is happening tomorrow, Thursday, August 20 from 9:30–11:30 AM, and families are invited to join us at our updated location:

We’ll spend the morning exploring together, learning about local plants that can be gathered for tea, enjoying gentle mindful movement, creating nature-inspired art, and connecting with other families.

Our Wild Tea Walk is still happening tomorrow, Thursday, August 20 from 9:30–11:30 AM, but we have a new meeting location.

A little time, a gentle touch, and a chance to connect.
Our next Infant Massage group begins Wednesday, September 2 and runs through September 23, meeting Wednesdays from 10:30–11:30 AM.
Led by one of our Infant Development Consultants, this FREE four-week series introduces gentle massage techniques that support bonding, attachment, relaxation, and your baby's early development. Many families also find infant massage helpful for easing common concerns such as colic and constipation.
