An update on Wild & Immersive in Williams Lake

We want to share some news directly with our community. Wild & Immersive will not be running in Williams Lake for the 2026/27 school year. Unfortunately, registration this year was not enough for us to support the program.

This was a hard decision, and not one we made lightly. The UBC Alex Fraser Research Forest remains fully committed to Williams Lake, and our work in this community continues. Wild & Immersive in Maple Ridge is not affected and continues to run.

Outdoor STEM projects provide hands-on environments to learn science, engineering, and math concepts without classroom constraints. Taking projects outside allows for larger-scale testing, messier reactions, and direct interaction with natural ecosystems. Join our classroom in the fall to experience unique programming with our professional instructors.
