Edit: turtle taxi found. Thank-you.

Driving near a wetland?! SLOW DOWN! Our Site Manager just found the most damaged Painted Turtle we have ever seen at the Rankin bridge, injured but still alive. The damage and suffering we inflict on these creatures is immeasurable. She has eggs.

Drive safe out there, for you and your children this summer, AND for the wildlife.

Tomorrow is World Education Support Professionals Day, and we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate our Outdoor Education Specialists, Abbi, Arthur, and Peter!

Out standing in the field, their knowledge, skills, ability to react to serendipitous moments, and sense of adventure ensure Bluewater's students have the very best experience here. Students look up to them, teachers appreciate them, and we love them!

Please take a moment to comment with your favourite OEC moment below so they appreciate the scope of their impact across Bluewater!

Happy Earth Day!

From the Owen Sound Field Naturalists

The OSFN believes in Supporting Youth - Bursary for High School Students

Do you know a student graduating from OSDSS or St Mary’s Secondary School who:
i) has shown an interest in nature, eg. birdwatching, field botany, etc.
ii) has demonstrated concern about environmental issues.
iii) is actively involved in outdoor pursuits in the natural environment.
iv) is pursuing post-secondary studies related to positive environmental stewardship, i.e. biological sciences, appropriate liberal arts, education, etc.?!

If so, they should consider applying for the Owen Sound Field Naturalists annual bursary of $400!
