October is National Dyslexia Awareness Month in Canada. Yesterday evening, Mayor Kirk Cameron officially proclaimed it to be Dyslexia Awareness Month in the City of Whitehorse! 👏

Thanks very much to the Mayor and to the City Councillors for recognizing how important it is to spread awareness of a learning disability that affects so many Yukoners.

From the Yukon Independent Review Panel: The Yukon Independent Review Panel wants to hear from Yukoners.

As part of its review of Yukon’s education system, the Panel is meeting with communities, education partners, and other groups across the territory. The Panel is also gathering feedback through this confidential survey.

You are invited to complete the survey and share your experiences, perspectives, and ideas about K-12 education in Yukon.

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and is open until October 12, 2026.

Your feedback will help inform the Panel’s recommendations to the Department of Education to strengthen educational outcomes for Yukon learners.
