Shared by CTF - FCE:🌟 An uplifting story from the Yukon Association of Education Professionals (YAEP) 🌟
A remarkable full-circle moment awaits outgoing YAEP President Ted Hupé this fall! He has been invited to witness the launch of Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. 🚀
More than three decades ago, Ted was Joshua’s Grade 6 teacher in Whitehorse, Yukon, where he helped spark a lifelong passion for science, exploration, and space. The mid-September 2026 launch will see Kutryk travel to the International Space Station as a member of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-13, providing a powerful reminder of the enduring influence educators can have on their students’ futures.
