We at Taga May are seeking dedicated individuals to join our board and help us continue the important work we do in supporting Early Learning and Prenatal and Postnatal parenting programs.

We’re looking for passionate individuals to take on the following roles:

*Unfortunately due to personal and family reasons the current board members are unable to fulfill the needs of the TPC Childcare Societies therefore we are looking for people to join as soon as they are able!*

As a board member/director, your responsibilities will include the following:

Managing the Director and Coordinator of our two core programs - Early Learning Program and Healthy Babies, Healthy Futures

Supporting the process of writing and reviewing funding proposals

Regularly meeting and evaluating community needs

Strategically planning and ensuring deliverables are met

Ensuring that TPC Childcare Society is in compliance with Societies

Without the support of volunteers like YOU, Taga May’s programs simply wouldn’t be able to function. Your time and dedication will make a world of difference to the families and communities we serve.

Taga May Early Learning & Parenting Supports currently has 3 infant spots available at our welcoming Early Learning Centre, nestled in the peaceful Riverdale area, with a great playground space, large outdoor playing area and more!

We pride ourselves on providing nurturing care, quality early learning programming, and exciting daily outdoor adventures that will help your child grow and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

At our centre, we offer delicious, nutritious lunches and snacks to ensure your little one is well-fed and energized throughout the day. Our experienced educators are dedicated to giving your child the best start in life, focusing on developing their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

We also have a Healthy Babies Healthy Futures program attached to our program providing supports for parents with infants 0-18months of age with formula, diapers for your child while their in the program and monthly dietitian supports for your child and parenting needs.

☀️ Escape the cold and start your day with a Morning Meditation! ☀️

Embrace the warmth, light, and connection that humans flourish in. This winter, join our free Moth & Flame Bright Light Morning Meditation sessions to ignite your inner flame and bond with others in a cozy, light-filled environment. Our next session is on Friday, January 17th from 9 - 10am!

🕒 Time: 9 - 10am
📍 Location: The Cache ( #10 - 4230 4 Avenue, Whitehorse)

Sessions begin with orientation followed by guided meditation for 20 minutes. Meditation will begin in low warm-toned light, and room light will gradually be increased during the meditation to simulate a sunrise. At the end of the meditation folks are invited to help themselves to available coffee, tea, or snacks and, if interested, spend some time connecting with others (or just yourself!) near a therapeutic-grade bright light. You may bring your own light—they may be rented free at the library or purchased online—or borrow one of our lights if there are enough to go around!

Facilitator: Jessica Engle PhD (she/her) is a clinical psychologist who is new to our community and brings experience in guided meditation and helping to get your circadian rhythm to be your friend. She knows well the benefits of sunlight and social connection through the starry seasons.

There are 15 spots available per session, and all sessions are free to attend! Note: The doors will be locked from 9:15 - 9:40am for quiet meditation.

Sorry for the delay on getting this out, we have been a busy bunch of bees here at Taga May.

- We want to welcome young parents to our Friday Family drop-ins from 12-2pm every Friday.
- Reminder that CPNP is closed on Mondays while Andrea from common ground counselling provides services for youth folx attending the programs provided here at TPC
- CPNP (Healthy Babies Healthy Futures) provides chestfeeding support to anyone, we have supplements, quiet space, and trained staff to support your journey! Our program also supports in need of prenatal vitamins!

Due to the closure of the centre we have changed our date for our luncheon from the 16th to the 23rd of August!

We will be cooking up a good lunch and possibly a desert! :)

You DO NOT need to be registered to attend, just show up and come enjoy some baby and parent time!
