Recently read this book and loved it. Touched on so many things I've been working and re-working through with a critical race lens - especially religion! Thank you Andre Henry for your honesty and openness. I'm scared to broach this topic because it may come off as "reverse racism" and it isn't that at all!

I did something scary! Last night I talked about my experiences as an Asian Yukoner - something I would never have dreamed of doing in the past. So much gratitude to for hosting this event, and to all those that shared their pieces of their stories last night. I left feeling inspired, uplifted, seen and incredibly grateful to have shared space together. To read more about it, visit ltar.ca/blog.

It's been ages since I've posted anything about language learning but that doesn't been I haven't been busy! I'm currently reading this awesome Cantonese version of 西遊記 (Journey to the West). For all my fellow Cantonese language learners, visit www.ltar.ca/blog for how my process works for decoding and reading this book.

Thanks always to .ca for making these resources available! I would never be this far along in my learning without you!

I've made it to the last page of #小王子 !I started reading it earnestly around end of October and have reached the last page tonight. Having the was so helpful for reading fluidity and fluency. I wish there were more novels for adults that that use spoken Cantonese and Jyutping!

Thank you to the creators of this book. What an incredible learning opportunity this has been.

I don't think I've ever felt as seen while reading a book as when I was reading Permission to Come Home by Dr Jenny T Wang . Thank you for all the work you do reaching out to the Asian diaspora far and wide.

This book is certainly written for members of the Asian diaspora - but it can also provide a window for those who do not identify as Asian - a window into some of our lived experiences that you may have never known or guessed at.

I am so inspired by this documentary . Hosts and are courageous, hopeful, and forthright anti-racism leaders of whom I am in awe.

Make the time to watch this as soon as you can. It is well worth an hour of your time. Canadians can find it for free . If you have ever said or thought, "I am not racist" - watch this and think again.

Today I launched my new 4-week virtual course Let's Talk About Race with Parents! I'm so proud of what I have developed and am excited to be working with parents, discussing how we can raise socially conscious and racially aware kids!

A large part of why I became involved in anti-racism work was becoming a parent and really wanting to instill confidence and skills in my kids to navigate the racism they'll inevitably face in this society as multi-racial people. They continue to inspire me everyday to think outside of the narrow boxes that society presents us.

Just spent a delightful afternoon at the Japan Fest put on by and the Japanese Canadian Association of Yukon. It is so inspiring to see so many people committed to keeping their Japanese culture, food, music and language alive.

It was also encouraging to see the Hidden History Society of Yukon in attendance with pamphlets on Asian History in the Yukon.

I've wrapped up my first month of anti-racism sessions! It has been a month of incredible growth. I've learned so much from each session - both from those that push back and challenge me to think of more effective ways to communicate my ideas, and from those that have brought their personal experiences and insights to add another layer of depth and humanity to the session.

I've also learned a lot about the emotional cycle of presenting sensitive information and being vulnerable to an audience for hours on end! Recovery time needs to be scheduled in!

Feeling so grateful for the opportunities I've had to share LTAR and all the positive feedback I've received. It's restorative to see people and organizations willing and eager to incorporate anti-racism practices into their personal and professional lives.
