🌸 Employee Spotlight: Bryanne 🌸
This month, we’re excited to celebrate Bryanne, an incredible member of our Crescent Park team! 💛
Bryanne has been with Blossoms & Roots since the very beginning and has grown alongside our centres and the children in our care. With her Early Childhood Education and Infant & Toddler certifications, she brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to everything she does.
Bryanne has a natural gift for helping children learn, grow, and succeed. Her background in coaching dance, cheerleading, and swimming shines through in the way she encourages and supports each child, celebrating their accomplishments every step of the way.
We are so grateful for Bryanne’s dedication, positivity, and the meaningful connections she builds with children, families, and her coworkers. She is truly an amazing asset to our Crescent Park team, and we are lucky to have her as part of the Blossoms & Roots family! 🌱✨
A forest walk with a very special discovery! 🐦🌲✨
We were lucky enough to spot a pileated woodpecker up close — what a perfect introduction to our new theme: Birds & Eggs! 🪺
Back at preschool, we dove into a book all about woodpeckers. We learned about their strong bills and skulls, where they live, and what they love to eat.
A beautiful reminder that some of the best learning happens when we step outside and explore! 💚
The perfect ending to our farm-themed month at Crescent Park! 🐣💛
After weeks of learning about life on the farm, we were lucky enough to watch two baby chicks hatch right in our classroom incubator. The children proudly named them Banana and Nelly and celebrated their arrival by creating special “Happy Birthday” posters just for them. 🎉
From carefully observing the hatching process to gently holding the fluffy chicks, this was a truly magical hands-on learning experience that sparked wonder, excitement, and so many smiles.
Welcome to the world, Banana and Nelly! 🐥✨

A truly special moment on our forest walk today 🐰🌿
While exploring the trails, we were lucky enough to spot a wild rabbit and her baby tucked quietly into the grass. The children were able to get close enough to observe them carefully and take in every little detail — their soft fur, twitching noses and gentle movements.
Moments like these remind us how magical nature can be and how much children learn through real-life experiences outdoors. Our daily forest walks encourage curiosity, patience, observation skills and a deep connection with the natural world around us 🍃✨
What a beautiful little discovery to end our adventure today.
Down on the farm 🚜🌾🐑
Our little farmers at our Crescent Park location explored this month’s farming theme through lots of hands-on learning and imaginative play! From “feeding the sheep” and “milking the cow” to building barns and creating farm-inspired crafts, the children stayed busy learning through play all day long.
These activities encouraged creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and fine motor development — all while helping the children learn more about life on the farm and where our food comes from 🐄🌽🐓
So much learning, exploring and farmyard fun! 🌾
Today we want to give you a little glimpse into how learning flows through our days ✨
What begins in the classroom during circle time and journaling often continues into the forest… and then returns back into the classroom again 🌿🐞
After learning about bugs and insects together, we headed into the forest to look closely at the tiny creatures around us, studying their bodies, movements, and unique features. Back inside, the children continued their discoveries by sorting, matching, and comparing insects using pictures and descriptions 🔎
This kind of hands-on learning helps children build observation skills, critical thinking, vocabulary, and a deeper connection to the natural world — all while making learning meaningful, active, and fun 💛
