Our little explorers have been diving into the amazing world beneath the waves! From the incredible sea life found along our beautiful BC coastline to fascinating ocean creatures from around the world, we’ve been learning through stories, sensory play, art, science, and hands-on discovery.

This month’s theme at Crescent Park is Ocean Life! Take some nature to practice fine motor skills but keeping the monthly theme! 🐟

Bug 🐞 Pool 🌊

What a simple yet fun play invitation on a hot summer day! A few tires 🛞, a tarp, some water 💦, bugs 🐜, and a handful of cups create endless opportunities for imaginative play and discovery.

The children loved scooping, pouring, rescuing their little bug friends, and creating their own games together.

Sometimes the simplest setups inspire the biggest adventures and the most joyful summer memories! ☀️

Pouring, squeezing, squirting, transferring, spraying, and scooping—a tuff tray full of flowers, ice, sparkles, water, tools, and endless fun! 🤩🌸🧊✨

There were so many opportunities to explore, discover, and learn through sensory play. From developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and imaginative thinking, simple invitations like these create meaningful learning experiences while keeping little hands busy and engaged. 💦🌿
