🚗⭕ The Baldwin Roundabout is now fully operational.

As more drivers begin using this multi-lane roundabout, now is a great time for a quick refresher on how to navigate it safely.

When approaching a roundabout:
✅ Slow down and follow the posted signs
✅ Yield to traffic already in the roundabout
✅ Watch for pedestrians and cyclists at crossings
✅ Stay in your lane and do not pass other vehicles within the roundabout
✅ Signal when exiting and follow the marked lane guidance for your destination

Roundabouts are designed to keep traffic moving while improving safety by reducing speeds and minimizing the types of collisions commonly seen at traditional intersections.

Making Hospice a Home - Every Gift Makes a Difference

Hospice Whitby – Roger Anderson House is proud to recognize Stephen and Bonnie Forman for their generous support of our Making Hospice a Home campaign, helping fund the furnishings, fixtures and equipment needed to prepare our hospice residence for opening.

Their generosity is helping us create a warm, welcoming space where individuals and families across Durham Region will find comfort, compassion and dignity during some of life’s most important moments.

As construction continues, we are getting closer to opening our doors in early 2027. Thanks to the generosity of community supporters like Stephen and Bonnie, we are one step closer to creating a place that truly feels like home.

We have some wonderful news to celebrate!

Two incredible members of the Hospice Whitby Board have been recognized by VON Canada for their outstanding service, dedication and impact.

Eva Reti, Board Chair, has received the 2026 VON Canada Award of Distinction, honouring outstanding service at the local or regional level and meaningful contributions to advancing VON Canada’s mission.

Joyce Marshall, Board Member, has received VON Canada’s Lifetime Associate Award, recognizing a volunteer whose long-standing service has had a significant and sustained impact on VON Canada and the communities it serves.

We are so proud to celebrate Joyce and Eva on these well-deserved honours.
