There was no shortage of holiday cheer and magical moments during our multicultural festival, The Spirit of Hatch House and Holiday Market on Saturday. Seeing the children's eyes light up when they saw Santa in the hallway brought the spirit of the holidays into our hearts. They all wanted to take a picture with this special visitor who was no other, than Ms. Erilda.
Ms. Ana showcased her most valued Nativity set from Peru and Mme. Liliane prepared Beignets Maïs, a traditional treat from Cameroon, for everyone's delight.
We thank everyone for coming in to share the festivities and for your support in our Holiday Market!

Today, I would like to celebrate the talent of one of our former student, Aria S. in poetry. For Remembrance Day, she crafted this beautiful poem with exceptional skill, deep thoughts, reflection and honour.
It is with great pride that I am sharing her poem with all.

This morning, on Remembrance Day, our entire school walked to the Whitby Cenotaph to honour and pay our respect to all the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
Each of our classrooms placed a piece of memento on the monument they collectively or individually created. A few of our oldest students recited the poem "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae.
Back in the classrooms we honured our very own veteran, Mr. William Hatch whose legacy transcends time, will be remembered and will forever live in our school.
We are so proud of all our children for their discipline and their participation in the ceremony.
