Hello from our Toddlers at Lifelong Learning Centres! 🐣🌷

This week was full of Easter exploration and hands-on learning! Our little learners engaged in egg stamping and decorating activities that supported their fine motor development and creativity. During our exciting Easter egg hunt, our toddlers practiced problem-solving, spatial awareness, and early numeracy skills as they searched, sorted, and counted their finds 🥰

We also enjoyed a dance party that encouraged movement, rhythm, and self-expression, along with sensory play experiences that helped strengthen cognitive connections and support emotional regulation.

Our toddlers are building confidence, independence, and essential early skills—all while having so much fun! 🐰🥳

This activity not only strengthens a child’s understanding of numbers but also develops their fine motor skills, as they practice pinching, pulling, and placing the clothespins.

There are so many creative and engaging activities for toddlers and preschoolers to do every week.

Our Senior Preschoolers love printing their names daily! ✏️Why is name printing so beneficial? ⬇️

✏️Sense of achievement - Holding up their name proudly, written by their very own hands
✏️Builds identity - a real foundational moment that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives

✏️ Develops understanding - those squiggles they used to trace have now been placed on items, they begin to understand the importance of it as well as develop respecting others belongings

✏️ Kickstarts Reading - when children suddenly connect those letters and make the revelation that it spells their name. They start to branch out and discover what other letters can do. A whole chain reaction

✏️ Strengthens Cognitive and Muscle Functions - building those core hand eye coordination and fine motor skills

Today’s a very sad day for us. It’s our fabulous Miss. Amy’s last day! She made such an impact on staff, children and families in the time that she was here.

The children build hands-on shape skills every time they explore geometric building magic! Early math skills take shape when kids are doing this activity, which helps them build an understading of 2-D and 3-D shapes and other early geometry essentials!

🎨Finger painting is a great way for children to explore, learn and develop through sensory play. When children can feel the cool, squishy texture of the paint and experiment with colour and patterns, it encourages their creativity. It's also a great way for children to express emotions!🖌
