Many people find impromptu speaking very difficult. In Toastmasters we do table topics to practice impromptu speaking and develop these skills. Our winner of table topics last night was one of our guests. Congratulations Lillian!

Brooklin Toastmasters took home two first place certificates in tonight's area speech contests. Dennis Bartel taking first in Table Topics and Bruce Richardson taking first in the Humorous Speech contest. Both will move on to compete at the division level on November 25th.

Brooklin Toastmasters is proud of those who participated in our six-week improved public speaking courses. On May 27th, we celebrated with a graduation ceremony for the 7 who bravely took the opportunity to improve their public speaking skills.
Through the course, with the aid of the Speechcraft digital experience, they gave three speeches, took on other roles, practiced impromptu speaking, gave feedback, and listened to lessons covering the fundamentals of public speaking.
