☀️ Bringing Sunshine to Life! ☀️
As the sun has been showing its face more often, the children were inspired to create their own cheerful cardboard suns! After painting their suns bright yellow, the provider and children worked together to add facial features and details, bringing each creation to life in its own unique way.

Using colourful popsicle sticks, the children copied picture cards and were challenged to carefully observe and recreate different designs and shapes. Some cards featured simple shapes, while others required children to think critically about positioning, direction, and spatial relationships.

Celebrating Best Friend Day! 🌳💛
One of our amazing providers celebrated “Best Friend Day” by inviting the children to work together to create a beautiful Friendship Tree display.
The children searched for their names before using paint to add their handprints as the tree’s leaves. Each handprint represented a unique child, and together they created something special, just like a friendship community!

Exploring Nature Through Early Math! 🍃
During outdoor play, the children went on a nature hunt to collect leaves of different sizes.
Once they returned, they worked at their own sorting stations and matched their leaves onto a cardboard chart labeled small, medium, and large.
As they explored, the children compared the sizes of their leaves, made predictions about where each one belonged, and practiced sorting and classifying using real materials found in nature.
Simple activities like this help children develop:

🍋✨ Lemonade Stand Sensory Play ✨🍋
This creative outdoor sensory experience encouraged the children to work together as they pretended to run their very own lemonade stand!
Using yellow-coloured rice as “lemonade,” real lemons, strainers, and stirring utensils, the children mixed, poured, scooped, and served their refreshing creations. ☀️
