Congratulations to Anaghaa, Eden, and Sameeha on being accepted into the Shad Canada program, where they will participate in a blend of hands-on STEAM and entrepreneurial projects, vibrant community-building experiences and real-world design challenges!
Selection to the Shad Canada program is a notable achievement! Our students were chosen through a competitive process that looks for curiosity, creativity, leadership, and a readiness to stretch beyond the classroom.
Anaghaa, Eden, and Sameeha clearly made an impression and will join the 26 alumnae from Trafalgar Castle School who have attended Shad over the past 45 years!

We're thrilled to announce that Trafalgar Castle School achieved Platinum status by the EcoSchools Canada program!
This achievement is the result of Trafalgar prioritizing environmental learning and action and our long-term commitment to citizen science and watershed monitoring.
Here are just a few ways our students have showcased environmental stewardship and authentic environmental learning:
🌿 Having monitored Pringle Creek for the past seven years, collecting meaningful environmental data that contributes to both research and school decision-making (add our latest milestone of our students officially taking over the monitoring of Pringle Creek! )
🌿 Our student-led Sustainability Council created QR codes to make knowledge about the Indigenous plants in our Gratitude Garden more accessible to our school community.
🌿 We've maintained an idle-free zone during school drop-offs and pick-ups
🌿 We combined a sweater swap with WWF Sweater Day, strengthening both waste reduction and climate action learning while engaging the whole school in a fun and impactful way
🌿 Our Sustainability Council recently held a "Roots & Renewal" event where our school community came together to clear invasive species from our forest area and Gratitude Garden and plant new Indigenous plants!
We're proud of our students, staff and families and their commitment to making environmental learning and action a defining element of our school culture!

"Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory." – Dr. Seuss
Trafalgar Day was just the start of an unforgettable day for Trafalgar Castle School's Class of 2026! Later that evening, our graduates arrived at the Castle in style and celebrated their last day as Grade 12 Trafalgar students under twinkling lights and surrounded by family, friends and music!
Congratulations again, Class of 2026! We hope that you soaked up every moment with the best of friends. Cheers to making some unforgettable memories!

Yesterday, Trafalgar Castle School reached new heights (quite literally)!
While our Grades 4 and 5 spent their day treetop trekking, scavenger hunting and bouncing on trampolines (with a picnic in between), our Grades 6 through 12 hit Canada's Wonderland for thrills on the rollercoasters!
From the Grade 8 celebrations on Wednesday and high-level thrills on Thursday to Trafalgar Day and Prom tonight, the 2025-2026 school year is ending in all the right ways: memories, laughter and smiles!

For , Archive Club students Lexi and Gem are looking at how Trafalgar students are always on the move, from travel and technology to traditional events!
In March, some of our students took a trip down under, travelling to Australia and New Zealand to bond with each other, reminding us of our 1982 March Break trip to Greece!
Next, our robotics team fought hard in their competition, displaying remarkable teamwork and determination, much like our team from 2007!
Finally, our beloved May Day tradition was heartwarming with our May Court taking the stage and reflecting our DIRKI values with admiration. This longstanding tradition has us looking back to our May Day in 1955!
