🍁🔬 Reggio Emilia Science Exploration | Senior Preschool

Inspired by our Reggio Emilia approach, our Senior Preschool children explored colour, movement, and transformation through a hands on Fall Tree Colour Experiment.

Using droppers and coloured water, the children observed how colours spread, blended together, and created new shades. They made predictions, tested their ideas, experimented with different amounts of colour, and shared their observations with one another.

Through this Reggio Emilia inspired experience, children were encouraged to investigate freely, ask questions, make connections, and learn through discovery.

A beautiful combination of science, creativity, fine motor development, observation, prediction, and cause and effect, all inspired by the colours of fall. 🍂🧪✨

🎶 What better way to introduce music than at an early age! ❤️

Our Toddler 1 friends may not have all their words yet, and they may not be ready to sing just yet, but every sound, rhythm, melody, and instrument they experience is helping build important connections.

Early exposure to music supports listening skills, language development, coordination, creativity, and self expression, while creating joyful experiences that can leave a lasting impact. 🎵🥁🎤

🎨 Montessori Shape Matching & Finger Painting 🔺🟡

Today, our little friends enjoyed a hands on Montessori inspired activity combining shape matching with finger painting!

Children explored different shapes, matched them to the correct spaces, and used their fingers to create colourful artwork. This engaging experience supported shape recognition, fine motor development, hand eye coordination, concentration, and creativity.

Learning through touch, colour, and exploration makes every experience meaningful and fun at First Milestones! 💛✨

🍂 Autumn Leaves Wreath | Toddler 1 🍁

Our Toddler 1 friends welcomed the beauty of autumn with a wonderful group wreath making activity! 🧡

Each child contributed one colourful leaf to our wreath, learning that when we all work together, our individual pieces can become something beautiful. 🍁🍂

As they created, the children explored different textures and discovered the warm colours of autumn, including red, orange, yellow, and brown. This hands on experience encouraged sensory exploration, colour recognition, cooperation, and a wonderful sense of belonging within the group.

A simple activity filled with learning, teamwork, and autumn fun. Our little learners loved seeing their colourful wreath come together! 🧡🧡🧡
