Living on the west coast of British Columbia, I have been fortunate enough to grow up in the ultimate outdoor playground. Having the constant influence of the outdoors when I was younger, is what has influenced me in many ways even up until now. Landscape photography was something I was drawn to from the moment I first began taking photos. Being able to capture the natural beauty of a location an

Moments from the other weekend in the Coquihalla with soaking up the morning light with a bowl of oatmeal.
The Coquihalla summit has some of the most underrated backcountry adventures I’ve found in a long time. From epic granite faces to climb, endless hiking trails and scrambling routes, along with both mellow and insane touring lines in the winter.
There is literally something for everyone out here and the short approaches from the highway make it easy to spend more time exploring the alpine than just getting to it.
Although this was likely our last backpacking trip of the summer, it was one that perfectly wrapped up the summer.

It’s a powerful and humbling feeling being so close to these animals, sharing the same riverbed but a handful of meters apart. No barriers, no hiding, just a small group of us alone on the river bed with 3 grizzlies.
It’s made even more special to be in the presence of a mom and her cub, hunting salmon as if we weren’t there photographing them. Having them allow us to be there while they continue their feasts from the river.
Watching the cub take its mothers lead and curiously look over to us, not sure what to think. Watching it try to navigate the river and join in on the salmon its mom caught.
Although things got close at times and my heart was definitely racing, this particular afternoon by the river is one I will likely never forget.
Grizzly bears have long been at the top of my “to photograph” list and I can finally say I’ve checked them off… while surrounded by a great group of other photographers to make the shared experience even more special.
Over the last 4 days attending Sea Wolf Adventures Great Bear workshop we got to see just about everything you can imagine with some of the most unforgettable landscapes and wildlife you can dream of.
Many, many, MANY more photos to share from this trip. What a blast it was!

Summer in the alpine is like going to a different planet. A world tucked away from noise and distractions with unrelenting beauty in every corner. These are a handful of photos from a recent hike to Panorama Ridge in whistler via Helm Creek last weekend.

using his gift of effortless pop from any feature he sees… one day I want to grow up to ride bikes like him.
Taken last weekend
Shot with Canon EOS R, 24-70mm or 100-400mm at 1/2500 shutter and high ISO since the shade gets real dark with that quick of a shutter 🫡

Its not often you can get a dozen people together to hangout and shred but it all came together perfectly this weekend. Although most of my time was spent riding bikes, I lugged the camera bag out for the last lap of the day to get as many photos as I could.
Although its not very fun to ride jumps with a 20+lbs camera bag, the photos were well worth it and a ton of fun to shoot. Thanks to the guys who had the patience to shoot with me here 🙌🏻
Shot on the EOS R with the 24-70mm f2.8 or the canon 100-400 f4.5/5.6. Majority of images shot at 1/2500 shutter to keep the bike details crispy.
Lots more photos to come soon!

Got a chance to ride the new trails at a local mountain bike area called Harper Mountain yesterday with . What a treat it was. Fast, flowy, playful, beautiful views of the valley below, I will definitely be back!
Here are some shots taken on our first tastes of the trail. All taken around 3pm with the Canon 24-70mm, EOS R body and the lovely magnetic polarizer to keep those midday photos looking noice.

After a whirlwind week of visiting home for a friends mountain biking birthday bash, followed by two of my closest friends getting married it feels weird to be back at home in the office. Trying to plan some post-work activities this week and saw 39 degrees forecasted by the weeks end… so I think something like this in the water will be a must on the agenda.
Taken last summer at Johnson lake with and !

Moments from 48 hours in Sapporo. After a day of snowboarding we headed into the city and checked out the Ice Festival with several kilometres of ice sculptures up to 15m tall. After the festival we walked around the city with no clear direction as the snow began to fall again.
