⚠️ Reminder: Club Cabin Maintenance Next Week ⚠️

Whistler Sailing will be closed for regular operations September 8–14 while important maintenance work takes place on the club cabins.

This work is part of a larger maintenance project that will see the club cabins receive new roofs this fall, with the main roofing project scheduled to begin September 21.

✅ Wing foil members with lockers will still be able to access their gear, the grassy staging area and the lake.

✅ Boat storage members will still be able to access their boats, the launch ramp and the lake.

❌ Club boats will not be available for member use or reservation.

❌ All cabins and washrooms will be closed during this time.

If visiting the site, please be mindful of the work underway and respectful of contractors working onsite.

Regular operations are expected to resume September 15.

A big thank-you to the Resort Municipality of Whistler for prioritizing this important work and helping keep our facilities safe and well maintained for the community. 🙌

🏆 2026 Club Champions!

Nine boats hit the water Wednesday night for our annual Club Championships, with blustery, cool conditions making for some great racing on Alta Lake.

Congratulations to Helen and Dave, who put together a convincing win to take this year’s title! 👏

🥇 Helen & Dave
🥈 Maya & Dom
🥉 Sam & Megan

The racing was close throughout the fleet, with plenty of tight mark roundings and battles for position right through the evening.

A great night on the water, sailing right until dark. Thanks to everyone who came out - we’ll see you back on the start line next year! ⛵

What a special day on Alta Lake! 💨🏄

Yesterday, Alta Lake Foil Day brought our local foiling community together for a full day of learning, connection, and some friendly competition.

The morning kicked off with an incredible Foil & Board Repair & Tuning Clinic with Rob Mulder of Robert’s Composites, where participants learned about gear efficiency, foil tuning, board selection, and what makes a setup go fast.

After a community lunch and a bit of a wait for the wind, a light southerly breeze filled in around 3 pm, giving us enough to run two slalom races.

The first race saw the course fill in nicely, while the second brought lighter, trickier conditions that put everyone’s light-air skills to the test.

Congratulations to 15-year-old Phil Hargreaves, who took the overall win!

A huge thank you to our volunteers for helping with race starts, finishes, media, and everything in between.

Alta Lake Foil Day was presented by the Alta Lake Foiling Community in partnership with Whistler Sailing, with funding from the Whistler Community Foundation’s Small Neighbourhood Grants program.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a special day!

First Flight ✨🤙

Our first-ever Youth Learn to Wing Foil Camp was a huge success!

There’s nothing quite like watching someone experience their first flight above the water, and this week we got to see several young riders do exactly that.

From learning the fundamentals to getting up on foil, these campers embraced every challenge, cheered each other on, and made history as the first participants in our Youth Learn to Wing Foil program.

We’re incredibly proud of everything they accomplished.

Ready to learn? Check out our youth and adult wing foiling programs at the link in our bio.
