We are sorry to announce that Anyssa’s favorite mug succumbed to injuries after an amazing trip to Van Island Feast of Fields - there was so much amazing food and drink that crumbling from excitement was the only way to go.
She was a little cracked before the event so the demise was not a surprise and the we know our next adventure with Erin on we help find a replacement!

Sometimes when I get to Rotary Club of Comox , I don’t realize until I’m there just how much I need to be there.

To stand together and sing “O Canada.”

To sit around our Community Board table, talking about where we can help, what projects matter, and where we can send money that might make someone’s life or our community a little better.

And then there are the people.

Friends I’ve probably spent 200 hours with by now. People I can sit quietly beside and not have to fill the space. People I can work hard with, disagree with, laugh with, and sometimes be a little crazy with.

I think we spend a lot of our lives looking for community without always recognizing it when we’ve found it.

Sometimes it looks like a Thursday night meeting.

Sometimes it looks like a room full of people deciding how they can help.

And sometimes it’s simply knowing there’s a chair at the table where you belong.

Tonight, I realized how much I needed mine. ❤️

In November it will be 4 years on the island - it has been so good to take time with family - 2 and 4 legged.. and this is the first time I feel like I am going home. Looked at the ferry with relief vs terror.. back to nesting and hope you will all start to come visit ..
