Weyburn Soccer Association

Prairie Fire FC begins an exciting new chapter built on 50 years of Weyburn soccer. More than soccer—we build players, people and community. Where sparks ignite!

One club, one identity and one pathway where every player can belong, grow and love the game. About WSA

30 Years of Soccer

Club History and Structure: Youth soccer began in Weyburn in 1976 and has steadily grown over the past 30 years. More than 400 athletes now take part in soccer programs offered by the Weyburn Soccer Association. In addition to youth recreation and representative team programs, the WSA has a close relationship with the High School Soccer program and was very involved in the Saskatchewan Summer Games hosted by Weyburn in 2004. Accomplishments: The Weyburn Soccer Association has worked hard over the last number of years to develop its players, coaches and programs. We have initiated team training camps, goalkeeper camps and winter training programs. WSA Rep teams are competitive provincially and continue to exhibit sportsmanship and Fair Play standards wherever they represent our club and city. Testimonial Statement:
“The Weyburn Soccer Association is doing a great job of providing athletic opportunity to our community’s youth in a very cost effective manner. Their focus is not only developing technical soccer skills, but also on teamwork and leadership skills, building self-esteem, recognizing the value of volunteerism and being a role model in the community. These values make the WSA a special organization.” Donnita Maas, parent.

🔥 ANOTHER FOUNDING FLAME IS FUELING THE FIRE! 🔥
We are incredibly grateful to welcome Old Fashion Foods Living Market - Weyburn as a Founding Flame Sponsor of Prairie Fire FC!

Their reason for supporting our club says everything:
“We love to support the sport our boys have grown to love so much!”

This one really captures what Fuel the Fire is all about.
It’s local families supporting local kids. It’s businesses investing back into the community they call home. And it’s parents helping create opportunities not only for their own children, but for hundreds of young players across our club.

The Living Market is a locally owned Weyburn business focused on health and holistic wellness, offering natural foods, supplements and personalized support, along with their smoothie and coffee bar and a great selection of locally made products. They have built a business centred around helping people live healthier lives while creating a welcoming place for our community.

To have a local family and business step forward with a generous Founding Flame sponsorship means a great deal to Prairie Fire FC. Every sponsorship helps us invest back into our players — better development opportunities, stronger coaching, improved programming and a club environment where kids can grow as players and people.

To The Living Market at Old Fashion Foods — thank you for believing in what we are building, for supporting the sport your boys love, and for helping us create those same opportunities for so many other kids in our community.

🔥 Thank you for helping us Fuel the Fire. 🔥

What an incredible start to the week!

The energy. The intensity. The smiles. The learning. 👏

Our players have been getting a first-class Celtic FC experience from our coaches who travelled all the way from Scotland — and they’ve brought the ENERGY! 🟢⚪️

Over the first two days we’ve seen:
🔥 Tons of touches on the ball
🔥 High-tempo technical work
🔥 Competition and small-sided games
🔥 Players being challenged to make decisions
🔥 Confidence growing every session

This is what development should look like — players engaged, competing, learning and having FUN!

And the best part?

WE’RE ONLY TWO DAYS IN. 👀🔥

Three more days to learn.
Three more days to compete.
Three more days to soak up everything our Celtic FC coaches have to offer.
