🌱 Today We Visited a Farm in Nova Scotia — Virtually! 🇨🇦

Today, Tigers and Otters participated in another Great Canadian Farm Tour, taking us all the way to Nova Scotia!

During the live virtual tour, the children learned about loose-leaf tea and vegetables grown in Nova Scotia. They had the opportunity to discover:

🌱 How different vegetables and plants are grown
🚜 How crops are harvested
📅 How long different crops take to grow
🥕 What vegetables are commonly grown in the area
📦 How products are prepared and distributed after harvest
🍵 How loose-leaf tea is grown and produced

Experiences like this are a wonderful way for children to learn more about where their food comes from and the work that happens before it reaches our homes and grocery stores.

A big thank you to the Great Canadian Farm Tour for giving our children the opportunity to explore Canadian agriculture from right here at Little Discoveries! 🇨🇦🌾
