Recent studies show that half of teens use AI chatbots on a regular basis. They offer teens judgement free advice, opportunities for skill development and companionship, but often may also reinforce harmful thinking patterns or behavior, provide unsafe guidance in a crisis situation or expose teens to content they aren't ready for.
