Happy Diwali! 🎉
We are celebrating the Festival of Lights today with beautiful sights and sounds.

In honor of World Food Day, we collected donations for the Pictou County Food Bank. Our families and staff donated a whopping total of 235.6 pounds of food! The children were excited to help bring the food to the truck when it arrived for pick up this morning. A big thank you to the kind gentlemen who took time and patience with the children who handed items one by one. 🍲😍

Today was a busy morning! First we had a visit from the Westville Fire Department where we showed them how fast we are at practicing our fire drill, learned about different equipment and got to go inside the truck! We then had our annual Thanksgiving lunch that the children had all help to prepare. Thank you to our Ms. Lesley who puts together a delicious meal for us that we can all share together.🍗🚒❤️

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Join us in Pictou on Tuesday, September 30 at 2:00 pm at Market Square, Water Street for a community gathering. The event will include a flag raising, reflection, Smudging, Jingle Dancing and Drumming, and knowledge sharing by students of Pictou Landing First Nation School. Join us as we honour Survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home.

We have one ECE position coming up in September at our program :). For those interested in entering the ECE sector, this new program through NSCC is being offered starting this fall. Please reach out to the centre directly for more information.
