Jiamei Wang is a first-year Arts and Sciences student and this year’s Deputy USG of Logistics for the 2020-2021 MariMUN conference! As a new member of the Secretariat, she is beyond excited to bring alive a peachy, fulfilling and unprecedented (no, literally) experience for all participating delegates. An avid lover of lo-fi music, pressing flowers, and buying prints of Impressionist paintings, there is a high chance you might catch her wondering about the next splurge she’ll be making (and never regretting;). When she’s not studying, watching anime or reading classical literature, she’ll be working alongside an incredibly talented and exceptional group of young women to bring to you a never-seen-before MariMUN conference.

Anne-Marie is a first-year Honours Law student, and she will be your Deputy USG of Crises for the 2021 MariMUN conference! An avid MUNer ever since the age of 14, she even organized her school’s own MUN conference with her friends, which unfortunately got canceled because of COVID-19 (RIP CCIMUN). In her free time, Anne-Marie loves to play tennis and cook, even though it always ends up being a disaster. Fun fact: she has never nuked anyone in a crisis... yet. She is thrilled for this year’s conference and wishes that she could be one of the delegates, as the committees planned are amazing.

YouRan is a first-year arts and science students and your Deputy USG of GAs/SAs this year. It is her first time in MUN, so she will work hard and always be near. When she is not studying or MUNning, she loves a good workout, or snuggle with her dog Butter. However, what stand the closest to her heart are piano, books, sciences, and deep conversations about any matter. She is also a big repertoires and books hoarder and would build a library if she was richer. She loves to learn and is happy when you tell her random facts, especially if you use the word fabulous, as it is her favorite word ever. Overall, she wishes you a fabulous MariMUN experience, hopes you will enjoy the committees and will see you later!

Camille Zhou is a first-year in Arts & Sciences and is so so excited to be your Deputy USG of Admin for the 2020-2021 MariMUN conference! She’s very eager to bring to you a fantastic experience and also hopes to learn a lot from this! As a person, she loves journaling, photography, volunteering, and taking naps in between classes (that is, if she’s not cramming school work or eating). Although started as a joke, she now sometimes also goes by Jo, and she welcomes you to call her by that nickname if it is of your preference. A fun fact about her that often gets a lot of people offended: she sort of doesn’t like ice cream.

Tiana is a second-year student studying in Honours Law in Marianopolis College and she will be your USG of Logistics for the 2021 MariMUN conference! Started doing MUNs since grade 10, Tiana is an experienced delegate and a caring staffer. Besides being a huge reader and a skilled video game player, Tiana also holds a collection of 36 mugs with pretty unique designs! On that note, she welcomes all delegates for participating in the 2021 MariMUN and she can’t wait to see you all!

Iris Wang is a second-year Honours Pure and Applied Science student, and she is more than excited to serve as your Under-Secretary-General of Human Resources for MariMUN 21’ and to bring an amazing conference experience to you and your delegations this spring. When she is free (or procrastinating from school work), she loves to draw, read about Egypt Mythology, sing to karaoke videos on Youtube, and watch cartoons like Crayon Shin-chan. She had a lot of fun exploring all types of restaurants and brunch places in the city and even created her own Montreal food map (exciting pre-covid time, dm for a copy!) She is looking forward to meeting all delegates and bringing an unforgettable MUN weekend to everyone.

Lina is our amazing Under Secretary General for Ceremonies and Events for MariMUN 2021. She is also mio-writer extraordinaire as Director of Communications on our executive team this year, and one of the most dedicated and organized people you will find at Marianopolis, so we are very lucky to have her in MUN! She is nocturnal, so worry not if you receive an email from her at 4 am -- that’s just how she works her magic for all our MUN club members! As an Arts and Science student, Lina is quite the intellectual, so if you feel like being enlightened by conversation on any topic from the Greek myths to Calculus, she’s your gal!

Maria-Vera Azadian is a second-year liberal arts student at Marianopolis College. She has been an engaged crisis delegate since 2019 and has served as a committee chair several times throughout her MUN career, notably at MariMUN and at MUNC. While Maria excels at all forms of crisis, historical crises hold the key to her heart. When she’s not busy perfecting her crisis arc as a MUN delegate, Maria can be found baking bread, debating important philosophical ideas, and demolishing others at trivia. No matter if your inquiry pertains to Marxism or Steven Universe, she will have an answer for you! She looks forward to returning to MariMUN as your USG of Crisis and seeing all the creative solutions you come up with in your committees!

Tian Yu Lei is our USG for GAs/SAs for MariMUN 2021 and a second year student studying in Health Science. Tianyu started her MUN journey in 11th grade back in high school and her first ever MUN committee was entirely in French. Everyone who knows her thinks that she is a really passionate and nice person, a hard-working student in class, an excellent delegate and a peace-maker in committees. Besides MUNing, Tianyu has a passion in wildlife observation. She feels relaxed spending time with nature. Moreover, she is a huge Marvel fan and she loves to draw during her free time. She cannot wait to see you in conference:)
