🏌️‍♂️✨ What a day at the 26th Annual Old Boys and Friends' Golf Tournament! Despite the weather's twists, 143 golfers enjoyed a perfect day on the green. We aimed to raise $70,000 for our 70th anniversary and exceeded expectations, raising $74,000 thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors, patron donors, prize and auction donors, and online auction bidders.

A heartfelt thank you to the 11:11 Charitable Foundation for their exceptional generosity. Initially our Cocktail and Dinner Sponsor, they stepped up during the event to become the Title Sponsor with an additional generous donation. Meet our second panelist! Malcolm Pinnell '10 is a Montreal tattoo artist who embarked on his journey into the craft a decade ago. Under the tutelage of Piew Choquette, a renowned figure in the Canadian tattoo scene, Malcolm honed his skills, originally focusing on American-style tattoos and delicate fine line work. In 2018, he sought to broaden his expertise, joining Pol Tattoo, renowned for its mastery of Japanese tattooing techniques. He refined his skills over the years, absorbing information from veteran tattooers in his entourage and studying everything from the mechanics of the tattoo tools to the history of the different styles. These days you can find him at Tatouage Electric Avenue where he offers a wide variety of styles, designed to prioritize the customer’s preferences.

At the April 25 Atwater Library book launch of Montreal Expos, A Cartoonist's Love Affair, The Montreal Gazette's editorial cartoonist, Terry Mosher (AKA Aislin), was joined by Expo's pitcher Bill Lee. The forward, written by Expos owner Charles Bronfman, Selwyn Class of '46, says the book is a "must read", as it recounts the history and some behind-the scenes-stories of the iconic Montreal Expos baseball team. Former SHS staff member Geoff Dowd and Director of Advancement Sharon Cozens were there for autographs, one which was directed to the Gryphons Baseball Team. Note: An autographed copy of the book, donated by Paragraphe Books, will be one of the amazing online auction prizes available on May 27. The auction is hosted by the Old Boys' & Friends Golf Tournament committee.
