ECS Old Girls' Association

Last week, Old Girls Chella Price’18 and Grace Anderson ‘19 hosted a beautiful cocktail evening in memory of Coach Stephen Kaplan and to launch the Athletic Excellence Scholarship in his honour. The scholarship fund was lovingly initiated by Chella and Grace as a tribute to the tremendous impact Coach Kaplan had on many ECS athletes.

It was an evening filled with heartfelt memories, inspiring words, and touching stories shared by many rugby players whose lives were shaped by Coach Kaplan’s guidance, leadership, and unwavering encouragement. His impact extended far beyond the field, and the scholarship will ensure that his legacy of sportsmanship, dedication, and mentorship continues to inspire future generations of ECS athletes. LCC alumni John Torrey ‘76 and Bruce Torrey ‘81 recently visited ECS to ensure their sister Diana’s legacy lives on through her scholarship fund, supporting girls for years to come.

A meaningful visit this week as our Interim Head of School, Carla Bolsius, spent time with Mrs. Molly Fripp, age 95, former Head of School at ECS💚

We are incredibly proud of Old Girl Michèle Des Groseillers ‘00 for her leadership with the Martin Matte Foundation. Their St-Sauveur fundraiser yesterday raised over $1M in support of children and adults living with traumatic brain injury and physical disabilities. A current ECS mom, she continues to live our Non Nobis values- now shared with her daughter, ECS student Mia.

Nothing makes our day more than when our Old Girls just pop in to say hello! Thank you, Laurie Rutherford ’79 for doing just that… Your sister Gail Rutherford ‘84 wasn’t here but tell her we say Hello!
