Meet Francis Choinière ’16 (conductor and artistic director, Orchestre Philharmonique et Choeur des Mélomanes, Orchestre FILMharmonique, Ensemble Classico Moderne, Choeur Fernand Lindsay), Pascale Pageau ’94 (founder and president, Delegatus collectif d’avocats), Michelle Hui ’09 (city councillor, Brossard) and Tristan Boucher-Gould ’21 (Université de Montréal faculty of medecine student). After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, today is Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement dedicated to giving back. Lakshmi Roy ’19 (Pure and Applied Science) has done just that with an inspirational gift to Marianopolis. A mere two years after graduating from the College and now studying Computer Engineering at McGill University, she has established the Lakshmi Roy Fortitude Bursary to provide financial assistance to students who have demonstrated generosity and compassion through community involvement, as well as strength in overcoming adversity. The former Silver Key ambassador hopes that her gesture will motivate other Marianopolis alumni to give back to their college and to support future generations of students. Thank you, Lakshmi! marianopolis.edu/community/foundation-and-giving/
