Saplings Outdoor Program Forest Education Preschools, a well as Before and After School Programs with Extended Hours for children ages 2½ to 12. Spring Break and Summer Camps.

Saplings outdoor program is a nature-based program located in West Vancouver, Vancouver, Squamish a new program K-3 program in North Vancouver. Our preschool programs are for children ages 3-6 years old. The main purpose of the program is to provide children with an opportunity to connect with the natural environment in a safe and enjoyable way. Nature is a child's best education. Creativity, nat

ure, and play are the inherent rights of every child. Learning happens everywhere, and it happens best when children are immersed in authentic environments and situations. Our goal is to increase awareness of and connection to the natural world in order to foster compassion and empathy for the earth and all its inhabitants. We believe there should be an unhurried, healthy unfolding of childhood. We believe nature plays an important role in the overall well-being of children and is, essentially, the ideal environment for early childhood education. Intense creativity and strength of imagination, as well as a sense of wonder and reverence for the natural world, will serve as a strong foundation for later academic learning.

What an incredible summer it has been! From forest adventures and beach days to messy creations, big discoveries, new friendships, and lots of laughter, we’ve loved every minute with our Saplings campers. 💚
As we wrap up our final week of camps, our team is getting ready to shift into training week a chance for our educators to reconnect, learn together, prepare our spaces, and get excited for the year ahead.

And then… September! 🍂🍎 We can’t wait to welcome all of our Saplings kiddos back for another year of exploring, learning, growing, and playing together.

Fort building gives children the opportunity to plan, problem-solve, test their ideas and create something together. At Saplings Summer Camps, the forest becomes our playground, classroom and creative space.

Our preschool children have been exploring the forest food chain through play 🌿🦌🍄
Using animal, plant, and insect cards, the children worked together to discover who eats what, how living things are connected, and why every part of the forest has an important role. These hands-on games help bring big ideas to life in a way that feels playful, active, and meaningful.
Outdoor learning gives children the chance to ask questions, make connections, move their bodies, and build a deeper relationship with the natural world around them.
Learning is everywhere when the forest is your classroom. 🌲✨

All of our summer camps are officially up and running! 🌿☀️
We’re so excited for a summer full of outdoor adventures, nature play, creativity, friendships, and exploring together.
We still have some spaces available in both our preschool camps and school-age camps, including spots at Pemberton Heights and Lighthouse Park.
If your child is looking for a summer filled with fresh air, forest adventures, hands-on fun, and time to connect with nature, we’d love to have them join us!

Slug Finding in the Rain ☔️🐌
Our first week of summer camps is off to a wonderfully muddy, rainy, nature-filled start!
Our 3–5 year olds headed out on a slug-finding adventure and discovered that rainy days bring out some of the best forest friends. There’s something so magical about slowing down, looking closely, and noticing the tiny creatures that share our outdoor spaces. 🌿
We have camps for children ages 3–5 and 5–12 running all summer.
