We’re delighted to announce that registration for the 20th Anniversary Crescendo International Music Competition will be opening very soon. And for the second consecutive year, Crescendo winners will return to this very stage to perform at the Chan Centre. As we celebrate this remarkable 20th anniversary, we invite you to be part of the celebration, and perhaps, to be one of the winners joining us right here on this stage. Very soon, that opportunity begins again. So choose your repertoire, prepare with purpose, and take that first step. Imagine the music you’re preparing today…bringing you here tomorrow…Whether this is your first competition or another important step in your musical journey, we look forward to discovering your artistry and welcoming you as we celebrate twenty years of music, achievement, and inspiration. The next chapter is about to begin. This anniversary year, we want you to be part of the celebration.

"Mayor Sager, I want to thank you personally. You are the main reason all of this was possible. Because of you, what happened here today becomes part of the story and history of beautiful Horseshoe Bay...We will never forget today.... Thank you, from my heart. Also, to everyone at the Horseshoe Bay Community Market: Karen Harisson, Bob Knight and all members, staff and volunteers... Thank you once again for welcoming our kids and us to bring their music and perform in this beautiful place. You've been so kind and encouraging from day one.
It's been a real pleasure working with you. We also want to thank the audience, friends, and families and the wonderful community of Horseshoe Bay... We feel deeply honoured to play a small role in expressing our community's gratitude and appreciation for his leadership and continued service.

Just wanted to share a few beautiful moments of success after countless hours of patience and commitment.

What these students have accomplished wasn’t easy. It took discipline and the willingness to keep going even when things felt challenging. But it’s through those challenges that we grow and become people others can rely on.

In a world that is changing so quickly, we believe that learning to stay committed and work hard is just as valuable as any achievement itself. Success is simply about character and the courage to keep moving forward.

So proud of every one of them for winning the HIGHEST marks and SOLE trophies of the 2026 British Columbia Conservatory of Music Festival in their categories . ❤️

Welcome to the Crescendo International Music Competition Winners’ Concert at the beautiful Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia. It was a great pleasure to gather here to celebrate the achievements of these outstanding young musicians who have dedicated countless hours to developing their discipline and passion for music.

We are especially excited to share that next year, as Crescendo celebrates its 20th Anniversary, the organization will launch the prestigious Crescendo International Concerto Competition for the very first time.

Selected winners of the competition will have the extraordinary opportunity to perform with a live orchestra at both the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts and Vancouver's iconic Orpheum Theatre.

Registration will open on November 15 of this year, and the first round of auditions will take place at Dio Piano School on February 6, 2027.

Most importantly, these moments reminds us of the power of music to bring people together across generations, cultures, and countries through a shared experience of beauty and expression.
