Presented by Dio Piano School in partnership with the West Vancouver Classical Music Society and the Horseshoe Bay Community Market, this concert was a community celebration that honoured Mayor Mark Sager for his commitment and service to West Vancouver. "Mayor Sager, I want to thank you personally. You are the main reason all of this was possible. Because of you, what happened here today becomes part of the story and history of beautiful Horseshoe Bay...We will never forget today.... Thank you, from my heart. Also, to everyone at the Horseshoe Bay Community Market: Karen Harisson, Bob Knight and all members, staff and volunteers... Thank you once again for welcoming our kids and us to bring their music and perform in this beautiful place. You've been so kind and encouraging from day one.
It's been a real pleasure working with you. We also want to thank the audience, friends, and families and the wonderful community of Horseshoe Bay... Seeing all of you here today makes us even more hopeful about the future. We hope that we can share more music with you again and again.. very soon.. Last but not least, thank you to all the performers...Thank you for your hard work and for the lovely music you played today. We want classical music out in the open... in our parks and our streets... where everyone can enjoy it... THANK YOU SO MUCH.."

Welcome to the Crescendo International Music Competition Winners’ Concert at the beautiful Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia. It was a great pleasure to gather here to celebrate the achievements of these outstanding young musicians who have dedicated countless hours to developing their discipline and passion for music.

We are especially excited to share that next year, as Crescendo celebrates its 20th Anniversary, the organization will launch the prestigious Crescendo International Concerto Competition for the very first time.

Selected winners of the competition will have the extraordinary opportunity to perform with a live orchestra at both the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts and Vancouver's iconic Orpheum Theatre.

Registration will open on November 15 of this year, and the first round of auditions will take place at Dio Piano School on February 6, 2027.

Most importantly, these moments reminds us of the power of music to bring people together across generations, cultures, and countries through a shared experience of beauty and expression.
