Building a Multi-Dimensional Creative Career 🎨🌿🧘‍♀️

Sisters and Collingwood alums Sky Lilah ’14 and Taisha Teal Wayrynen ’11 are redefining what it means to have a career in the arts. They’ve turned a love of creativity into a thriving, multifaceted journey encompassing event production, mental health advocacy, and holistic wellness.

Trusting Your Path Forward

David FitzGerald ’05 is a master of the pivot. His journey has been anything but linear, spanning audio engineering, commercial real estate, and private lending — proving that a non-linear path is often the most rewarding one.

He’s a firm believer that your past experiences always tie together if you just keep putting one step in front of the other.

We’re proud to continue our Alumni Spotlight Series with David’s story.

From a student mixer to the world of finance 📈💼

What started as a chat with an alum in Grade 12 evolved into mentorship and a professional internship.

At UBC, Ella is balancing big investments with an even bigger purpose. Between completing her Canadian Securities Course and managing a student-run fund for ALS research with Compounding for a Cure, she is building a powerhouse foundation in finance. ✨

We’re continuing our Alumni Spotlight Series with Ella’s story of initiative, mentorship, and giving back. 🌟
