Happy Earth Day!
Little Citizens went on our annual Earth Day walk to pick up litter today. We found a hula hoop, a ladle, and filled a whole bag with other garbage!

This Friday is the West Kelowna Light Up! Lots of family friendly activities along Brown Road and fireworks over by Memorial Park at 7:45!

The countdown is on! Only 9 more sleeps until we ‘Light Up’ Brown Road with holiday cheer.

This year’s Light Up event will feature:
🎵 School choirs
🎨 Activity stations and games
☕ Hot chocolate and food trucks
🎁 "The Market at Light Up" for holiday shopping
🎆 A fireworks show at 7:45 p.m. (weather permitting), with viewing locations at the Plaza at City Hall and Memorial Park

Santa and Mayor Milsom will officially light up Brown Road at 5:30 p.m. (new time!)

We've been learning about the Zones of Regulation this month! In each class the children sorted different feelings cards into one of the four zones and then we brainstormed regulation strategies. I think they nailed it!

The fire station in Glenrosa will be putting on their annual haunted house again this Halloween!

In September we read a children's book at circle time that showed a tree made of handprint leaves. The children were inspired to make our own, and we added an autumn twist. All of the children and I contributed our handprints as leaves to create this collaborative classroom autumn tree. They were so excited and proud to see it hanging on the wall today.
