Very pleased to be back at Chataqua days. We will be doing demonstrations of pointing dogs in action and retrievers. As well as a herding dog demonstration. And there will be a question and answer period as well as a meet the breed, with a few different styles of gundogs!!
The Warrior litter. Vex will be staying with us, but Warrick will be looking for a competitive home.
At 6 weeks old, this is the start of their training. We are expecting big things from these two.

We'd like to introduce to you Vielseitig's Warrior Litter: Vex, Warrick, & Marcella!
You've heard us talk on how much goes into creating a litter of pups - and this one was no exception!
Mason was chosen for Elena for his amazing hunt-drive and workability at such a young age. . Elena has amazing fieldwork and is an excellent hunter - but she does it without the intensity that we love, just quieter than we prefer. Since Mason isn't a young pup, it was decided that a collection and freezing were in order to ensure that in the future he'd be available to us, as Elena was only 1 at the time we selected him for her.
We've tried AI here in Alberta 3x - and the result was 1 single pup. It was time to change tactic, so we contacted Sondel Family Veterinary Clinic in Madison Wisconsin. I cannot say enough GREAT things about this clinic. Their customer service - on the phone, through emails, and especially in person - were WAY above board, and their fees are NOT wallet-busting. We'll be giving them a call in the next couple days to say thank you AGAIN, and to update them on the litter.
So once again: let's welcome the Warrior Litter!!

Baby #1 is here! 7:51am female, 1lb 2.8oz
She started last night, but progression was slow and quiet. We opted to go to bed - which was the right choice. Elena slept as well, with some uncomfortable tossing and turning. Woke this morning to work alarms and after a morning bathroom break she came back into the house in full labour. Waiting for babies anytime now! 😁
COME ON BABIES!!!! (No, it's not happening yet... just excited and tired of waiting! 🤣)
