The school does not receive funding for development of the school playground, track, library, classrooms, etc. As a parent body, we feel the need to support our students and teachers through fund-raising as a parent body and on a community level to better provide for our youth and ultimately, our community.

Our Words Matter student team has been worked hard to plan an incredible Words Matter Day centered on our 2026 theme: "Say It Forward". Students collaborated with their buddy classes to read stories about kindness and participated in a craft where they created beautiful "petals of kind words". These petals are being used to grow a vibrant garden on our hallway wall that serves as a visual reminder of our commitment to positive language.

The words we choose shape whether people feel respected, safe, and like they truly belong. By choosing language that builds people up, our students are actively contributing to a school culture that is an inclusive and identity-affirming community.
