🚸 School Zone Safety
Slow it down, stay sharp, and expect the unexpected. Kids can cross suddenly, buses make frequent stops, and speed limits drop for a reason. 👀✋
• Obey posted school zone speed limits (watch for flashing lights)
• Stop for school buses when red lights are flashing 🚍
• Yield to crossing guards and pedestrians
• Watch for kids crossing mid-block
• No U-turns or unsafe passing in school areas
• Keep your phone down — no distracted driving 📵
Be extra patient during pick-up and drop-off times. A few extra seconds of caution can make a big difference. 💛

Dashboard Mystery: Tire Pressure! ❄️
This warning often pops up ESPECIALLY in cold weather. Tire pressure can drop as temperatures fall, which can affect handling, fuel efficiency, and safety. Make sure to check your tires regularly — use a pressure gauge or your car’s built-in monitoring system. Keep them properly inflated to stay safe on the road and avoid surprises!

One of the most recognized road signs in Ontario is the “Slippery When Wet” sign!
Fun fact: This yellow diamond-shaped sign warns drivers that the road can be extra slippery when it’s wet. It’s a reminder to slow down and drive carefully, especially in rain or snow! ❄️🚗

On dry roads, a few seconds of space may be enough. In rain, snow, or icy conditions, you’ll need much more time to stop safely. Slow down, increase your following distance, and give yourself room to react—your safety (and everyone else’s) depends on it.
