Toddler Montessori RECE- Maternity Leave Position!

Alexandra Ridge Montessori is seeking a passionate, caring, and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our Toddler Montessori program.

We are looking for an educator who is enthusiastic about working with toddlers and who values a respectful, nurturing, and child-centred environment.

Position

Toddler Montessori RECE — Full-Time

Schedule:

* Monday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
* Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
* Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
* Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
* Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Salary: $25.86–$28.86 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

* Provide a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment for toddlers.
* Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
* Implement Montessori-inspired activities and classroom experiences.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting prepared environment.
* Observe children’s development and document learning and milestones.
* Assist with toileting, diapering, meals, rest time, and daily routines.
* Build positive relationships with children and families.
* Work collaboratively with the classroom team and administration.
* Follow all Ministry of Education, licensing, health and safety, and centre policies.
* Maintain appropriate supervision of all children at all times.
* Participate in classroom planning, cleaning, and daily organization.

Qualifications

* Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
* Experience working with toddlers is an asset.
* Montessori experience or training is an asset, but not required.
* Current First Aid/CPR.
* Vulnerable Sector Check.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Reliable, responsible, and professional.
* Passionate about early childhood education and creating a positive classroom environment.
