Some really great food available at the MMCC canteen!

Feel free to share, thank you 😊!

Hi 😊.
Here’s our menu.

We have a little bit of everything to suit every taste.
We’re happy to offer local and homemade products from:

Pizzas from AJ's Pizza🍕
Cookies from Wildwood Bakehouse 🍪
Tarts from Judy Page Moore - Catering🥮
(And more coming soon)

And our tequeños, tequebites and empanadas🥟.

Also, we want to offer pre-orders on regular days (not during events—and well, we all know why 🤭).

Spoiler: One day a week, we’ll prepare dinners available for pre-order. (Protein, salad, soup, carbs)
We’ll keep you updated as we fine-tune everything.

Thank you all for your support!

DMD is pleased to welcome Miss Annika back to Wawa! Annika grew up in Wawa, Ontario, where she began dancing at four years old with Defined Movement Dance. Throughout her years of training, she completed multiple British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) examinations and had the opportunity to attend the BATD Scholarship Awards twice for both ballet and jazz. In 2015, she also attended the Quinte Ballet School of Canada Summer Intensive, further expanding her dance education and experience.

After graduating from Michipicoten High School in 2021, Annika continued her education in the United States, where she studied psychology while competing as an elite track and field athlete. She has since earned a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology, combining her interests in movement, performance, and the mental side of sport.

She is excited to return to the dance community as an instructor and looks forward to sharing her passion, experience, and appreciation for movement with her students.

While we have seen some great dance items come from Amazon, we cannot stress enough how important it is to have good quality, well fitted dance shoes for your child to dance in. You wouldn’t send your hockey players on to the ice with ill fitting skates. Dancers need great equipment too! It actually helps their feet look better while they show off their hard work on stage. Colours of the ballet slippers from Amazon are often very different from the traditional ballet pink that matches the tights perfectly. If you aren’t going out of town to shop anytime soon, have a look at this online store and take the time to check the size charts for sizing. Miss Sam has taken the time to curate exactly what she knows looks and works best. If you shop online, don’t forget to use the discount code at the top of the page for 20% off. https://sodanca.ca/pages/defined-movement-dance-sdplus

There are also some great retailers in Sault Ste Marie, Thunder Bay and Sudbury where you can have your dancer fitted in person.
Message us for out of town recommendations to visit if you are travelling this long weekend.

Don't forget to get your orders in for the 2026 Recital Video. The deadline to order and have 75% of your purchase be donated to the DMD competitive dance team is Friday, May 29 at 6:00pm. Orders will still be accepted after this time, but no further donations will be made beyond that point. Editing is underway and we hope to have the video completed within the next week.
