Saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of this job 😔 Every child who comes through my door leaves a piece of themselves in my heart. Watching them grow, then watching them go never gets easier. But I get to carry every muddy-faced smile, every proud "I did it!", every moment of trust built one gentle day at a time.

That's the trade.

And I'd make it again, every time.

Just pure joy on the deck today ❤️ Sunshine, splashing, and small hands busy at the mud kitchen; absolutely child directed and chaotic but still perfect somehow. This is the good stuff 😊

Sometimes you can see two very different types of learning happening in the same place at the same moment ❤️

One friend working out how to get a foot up and shift their weight -- real focus, real risk-assessment, all self-directed.

The other at the base of the play structure, deep in baby-and-bunny caretaking, completely unbothered by the action happening above.

Same structure, same moment, two totally different kinds of learning. This is what child-led outdoor play looks like on an ordinary Tuesday.
