Do I know any voice teachers with students who might fit into the youth jazz ensemble at the Waterloo Jazz Festival? For several years we had singers every time, and since the pandemic have been voice-free. We miss it!
I think that it's a cool experience where singers work on scatting, sing 2-3 songs on the stage at the festival, and also learn to join the horn section for instrumental numbers.
The dates of the festival at July 19-21, and each ensemble will get a full set on the big stage.
Workshop dates are two weekdays per week, for 2 weeks prior to the festival. Meetings are 10am to 230pm with a lunch break in the middle.

Teach them music. Later, teach them coding. I remember meeting an American concert pianist whose best friend is a VP at IBM. He said that they actively recruit people with music degrees and train them in-house, because he knows that they'll at least make dynamite computer programmers. Isn't that interesting?
