University of Waterloo United Nations Association The University of Waterloo’s United Nations’ Association (UWUNA) is a dynamic and engaging club But UWUNA isn’t all academics.

The University of Waterloo’s United Nations’ Association (UWUNA) is a dynamic and engaging club that promotes interest in world affairs. The club offers students opportunities to participate in “Model UN” conferences all over the world, where students assume the role of diplomats representing a country’s foreign policy. Experience at UWUNA challenges students to analyze international issues through varying perspectives, while garnering invaluable experience in negotiating, research and public speaking. UWUNA also offers opportunities to attend speeches scholars and government officials give, panel discussions and film/documentary screenings involving international issues. Travel opportunities abound as an UWUNA member. And conferences provide students with the opportunity to network with students from all over the world. Just remember, what happens at conferences stays at conferences!!
