HOW TO APPLY
- Fill out the Google form via the linktree in our bio.
- We’ll be in contact with you within approximately 1 week if we think your skills and passion would be a good fit for our team.
SUBTEAM BREAKDOWN
We have various subteams that are each responsible for different aspects of our project. We invite students from various disciplines to apply for the team.
LAB & DESIGN
We are looking for individuals that are self-directed and comfortable working in a close-knit team. You must have an innovative mindset, exceptional time-management skills, and be adaptable. Additionally, we seek out individuals with proven information literacy and those capable of disseminating scientific information and research findings.
HUMAN PRACTICES
Members in this subteam can expect to be involved in outreach activities. Thus, individuals must be comfortable with public speaking, conducting interviews, preparing case studies, and coordinating project-related events.
MATH & MODELLING
Members of Math & Modelling conduct preliminary research in finding relevant secondary literature to the chosen project with the aim of revising models/simulations to fit project needs. A first course in differential equations is recommended but not required. Faculty of Mathematics students are especially encouraged to apply.
BIOHUMANITIES
We are looking for students interested in conducting humanities and social scientific research. Members will gain experience in research methods and publish their work as a team in undergraduate journals. Students with interdisciplinary research interests are encouraged to apply.
We look forward to receiving your application. Keep an eye out for details on our upcoming iGEM info session, which will be hosted in person on January 9th. Feel free to DM us with any questions you may have about our subteams, the application process, or previous projects.
