Beckett School at Laurier offers one-on-one music lessons taught by qualified instructors in the KW area. We offer lessons in piano, voice, theory, guitar, strings, drums, winds, brass, and early music education. Our instructors are currently teaching virtually for the safety of our students. Looking for a creative outlet this fall? Our first session is this Saturday!

Join our Air-Dry Clay: Create, Decorate & Make It Yours program and enjoy five afternoons of hands-on fun with LAMA art director, Selda Sezen. Bring a friend, parent, child, grandparent, sibling, partner, or anyone you'd love to spend creative time with.

You will create at least 6 projects, while learning clay techniques such as shaping, painting, epoxy, and finishing. Our intentionally small class size means more personalized guidance and time to connect. Everyone welcome, open to all ages and experience levels.

This fall, we're excited to expand our arts programming with two FREE poetry events led by acclaimed poet and teacher Heidi Sander.

✍ Poetry Made Simple Workshop | Oct. 28, 7-9 p.m.
🎤 Poetry Open Mic Night | Nov. 4, 7-9 p.m.

Attend one event or join us for both! Start with our beginner-friendly workshop and then bring your new poem to the open mic, or share a favourite piece.

🎻Calling all violinists, violists, and cellists!

We're excited to launch our new Chamber Ensemble for Strings program! Open to string players at RCM Level 3 or above (or equivalent), both LAMA students and community members are welcome to join.

Students will be placed in small ensembles such as duets, trios, and quartets. Over a 12-week term, each ensemble will receive weekly 60-minute coaching from Kenneth Kwan, violinist with the KW Symphony and faculty member at the Laurier Academy of Music & Arts, while working toward a final performance in December.

Spots are limited, and ensembles will be formed based on age, playing level, and instrumentation.

Ukelele is a fun and engaging way to learn the fundamentals of music! Based in Orff/Kodaly methods, the goal of the classes is to encourage students to learn basic ukulele skills and techniques (rhythmic strumming, beginning melody picking, singing the notes). Parent/guardian attendance is welcome but optional. Taught by Jennifer Stacey - Early Childhood Music specialist and experienced music teacher.
