The reopening of the Waterloo campus Freestore has been an incredible success, serving over 160 students in the first couple days.
This has allowed for over 1,100 lb. of goods to go back into the community to support circularity on campus!
Over the next week, our team will be working to restock the space so we may continue to meet the needs of our students. During this time the Freestore will be closed. We will also be on-boarding new staff and volunteers to support the program.
We will be returning in October with weekly operating hours. Keep an eye on our website (linked in our bio) and our social media for the reopening date and updated hours.
Those with urgent needs may still book an appointment by emailing [email protected].
*Please note this closure does not impact the Brantford Freestore which will remain open*

Are you passionate about gardening or just looking for a way to connect with nature and our campus community? The Northdale Community Garden will be reopening this May and sign-ups for plots are now open!
This growing season we are offering two plot sizes, 4’ x 4’ and 8’ x 8’. These plots will be available to any Laurier students, staff, and faculty. You can plant on your own or as a group, office, or team.
Maintaining your own garden plot is a great way to reduce stress, stay active, disconnect from media and work, connect with other gardening enthusiasts, and contribute to sustainable food systems.
Click the link 🔗 in our bio to sign-up for one of our plots before May 31st, but don’t wait, plots are available on a first come first serve basis!
