Canada is experiencing record heat waves this month.
Dog owners know how much their furry friends might love a car ride. But when you leave them in a hot car, even for a few minutes, not only are you risking a broken window from a rescue attempt, you're also putting your precious pet's life at risk.
Enjoy your summer with your pet, and always make sure you keep them cool, safe, and healthy!

THIS SUNDAY IS NATIONAL INSURANCE AWARENESS DAY
Promoted annually in Canada on June 28, its purpose is to remind individuals and businesses to review their policies and ensure they have coverage that's appropriate to their situation, and to be aware of what they are actually covered for.
It's highly encouraged for you to touch base with your agent or broker to review any policies you hold, changes that may impact you, and learn if there are other opportunities for you to take advantage of, such as new coverages or bundling offers. Here are a few areas you may want to look more specifically at with your insurance representative:
NATURAL DISASTERS π©οΈ
Extreme weather events are on the rise. Ask about coverages above the standard home insurance that you should consider adding.
LIFE CHANGES ποΈπ
Have you recently renovated? Started a new business? Maybe you've made a major purchase. It's time to make sure the coverage limits you have are up to date with your circumstances.
CHANGES TO INSURANCE ποΈ
What regional changes have been introduced that could impact your coverage? For example, auto insurance in Ontario is changing on July 1, 2026, to introduce optional accident benefits that were previously mandatory. Your broker or agent can walk you through how these changes apply to your situation.
FRAUD PREVENTION π©

FACT CHECK FRIDAY! βΉοΈ
Today we reveal... is Friday the 13th truly unlucky? The answer may surprise you.
The answer is FALSE. There is mixed data on whether claims incidents increase on Friday the 13th. Research shows some people use more caution, which may offset any increase, but it's actually LESS likely to be a factor in accidents than something like Daylight Savings Time, when the daylight hours are changing and people may be suffering fatigue from the time change.
π THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
We've got another True or False....
It is always a good idea to increase your deductible so you can pay lower premiums. I mean, what's the likelihood you'll actually have a claim anyway, right?
Share your answer π and don't forget to check back for next week's question!
