As we end another wonderful week at St.John’s, we would like to share with you some of the activities and learning that happened this week.

As we all know Wednesday was the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The St.John’s team is committed to understanding more of what we can do as a community to help teach our future generations about our heritage.

Not only on Wednesday but everyday we are moving forward with opportunity to give thanks to our land, animals, families and more. We are hearing wonderful stories of what your children are grateful for and what they do to help their fellow classmates and community.

It begins with small steps that become a part of one’s mindset, spirit and willingness to grow and change.

We thank our community for their continued support in our efforts as everyday learners.

Today we wear an orange shirt in recognition of Truth and Reconciliation.

We need to continue to create awareness and take action of the impacts of Residential schools.

As communities we come together in a spirit of reconciliation and hope because Every Child Matters.

We did it!…. Together😀

Even though it was a short week, it was a successful one! It has been so wonderful getting to know the children and families.
While there still is lots of settling in to be had, we are on the right track!

We are so proud and thankful to everyone who has made this first week of school one to remember!

We are looking forward to a super year!
