-Fully licensed, and insured G driver with clean driving record (Ontario Ministry of Transportation Abstract (3yr) completed July 2021)

-Criminal Records and Judicial Matters Check completed July 2021

-Completed "Early Childhood Education" diploma with highest honours (2018 - 97% grade average)

-Successfully completed a Food Handler Course that meets the requirements of Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Longterm Care (October 13, 2016)

-Worked one-on-one with Kindergarten students at Queen Elizabeth Public School – “Letters, Sounds and Words” - Strong Start to Reading (October 2014 to June 2015)

-Worked as a Shift Leader at Kidzone Family Fun Centre (August 2005-July 2006)

-Volunteered as a Youth Camp Councillor for Youth In Motion (July/August 2003)

Residential schools operated in Canada for more than 160 years, forcibly separating more than 150,000 First Nations, Inuit and Métis children from their families, communities, languages and cultures as part of a government policy of forced assimilation.

Children experienced profound loss, trauma, abuse and neglect. The impacts continue today, affecting Survivors, their families and communities through intergenerational trauma, loss of language, culture and family connections.

While no residential schools operated in , the Mohawk Institute Residential School in nearby Brantford was Canada's longest-running residential school. Approximately 15,000 Indigenous children attended the school between 1828 and 1970.

Today, the former residential school site is home to the Woodland Cultural Centre, which honours Survivors, preserves the site's history and provides opportunities to learn about the residential school system and its lasting impacts.

Learning this history is an important part of Truth and Reconciliation. Listening to Survivors, learning Indigenous histories and reflecting on the ongoing impacts of residential schools can help foster greater understanding, respect and reconciliation.
